Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data NalViq collects through this website, why, who receives it, and what rights you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Last updated: 25 September 2026

1. Who is responsible

NalViq Professional Services N.V. is the data controller for this website. Registered in Paramaribo, Suriname, registration number 75134.

Email: info@nalviq.com

2. What data we collect

We collect personal data in two situations:

  • Contact form: your name, your company (optional), your email address and the message you write.
  • Server logs: when you visit the site, our server automatically records your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time.

3. Why we use it and on what basis

  • Contact form: to read and answer your message. Basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and taking steps at your request before a possible agreement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) and (b)).
  • Server logs: to keep the site secure and working. Basis: our legitimate interest in security and operations (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or automated decisions, and we do not sell it.

4. Who receives your data

We use a small number of service providers to run the site:

  • Resend (United States): sends the contact-form message to us by email.
  • Google, Gmail (United States): the inbox where we receive and answer messages.
  • Linode (United States, Miami): the server that hosts this website.

5. Transfers outside Suriname and the EU

The providers above are based in the United States, so your data is processed there. Each provider offers a recognised safeguard for such transfers: Resend and Google take part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Resend also offers standard contractual clauses), and Linode offers standard contractual clauses in its data processing agreement.

6. How long we keep it

  • Contact messages: 12 months after our last contact with you, then deleted.
  • Server logs: 14 days, then deleted (our server rotates its logs daily and keeps the last 14).

7. Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Email info@nalviq.com and we will respond within one month.

Suriname does not currently have a data protection law or a data protection authority, so we follow the EU GDPR as our standard. If you are in the EU and are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your national data protection authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

8. Cookies and local storage

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores one setting on your own device, your light or dark theme choice. It is never sent to us and you can clear it at any time.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS and access to our server and inbox is limited to authorised people. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change what we do with personal data, we will update this page and the date above.

11. Questions
